Why NextGen finance?
-

The problem
Most students finish school with little understanding of how money, investing, and financial markets actually work. Existing resources are often either too theoretical, too complex, or disconnected from real-world decision-making.
-

The approach
NextGen Finance was created to make finance clear, structured, and applicable. Content is designed to be self-paced, concept-driven, and grounded in real market behavior — helping students build confidence, not just knowledge.
-

The solution
NextGen Finance acts as a bridge between leading financial institutions and young learners — translating professional-level expertise into accessible education while maintaining academic rigor and credibility.
Meet the team
The founder: sebastian Lecubarri
NextGen Finance was founded by Sebastian Lecubarri, a 17-year-old student with a strong and growing background in finance, investing, and financial education.
Alongside his academic studies, Sebastian has spent several years actively engaging with financial markets — developing and testing investment strategies, managing simulated portfolios, and studying how real-world market dynamics operate beyond textbooks. His experience spans market analysis, long-term investing principles, and structured portfolio decision-making, with a strong emphasis on discipline and risk awareness rather than speculation.
Through coursework, independent study, and collaboration with financial institutions, it became clear that while financial markets are becoming increasingly important for young people, access to clear, practical, and credible financial education remains limited at an early age.
As a student himself, Sebastian is uniquely positioned to understand this gap. NextGen Finance was created with a clear mission:
To act as a bridge between professional financial institutions and the younger generation, translating complex market concepts into structured, accessible learning without losing rigor or credibility.
In collaboration with BME
Bolsa y Mercados Españoles (BME) plays a central role in Spain’s financial ecosystem, operating key market infrastructures and promoting transparency, education, and trust in financial markets.
Beyond its role in market operations, BME is deeply committed to financial education — particularly to making financial knowledge more accessible, practical, and relevant for younger generations. Through educational initiatives and partnerships, BME works to ensure that students gain an early understanding of how markets function and why financial literacy matters.
The collaboration between NextGen Finance and BME reflects a shared vision:
to empower young people with the tools, knowledge, and mindset required to understand finance responsibly and confidently in an increasingly complex world.
